📼 What Is This?

I call the years between 2000–2010 the "deleted years" because so much of that era has disappeared online. Bands broke up. Blogs vanished. MySpace lost everyone's uploads. Entire chapters of local music history just blinked out of existence.

This is an archive of Toronto's unsigned underground — the bands that played the El Mocambo, the Kathedral, the Rivoli, and dozens of venues that don't exist anymore. CDs, cassettes, minidiscs, VHS tapes. Hauled from apartment to apartment for 20 years because they were too important to leave behind.

The deleted years don't have to stay deleted.
